Life threw me a curveball early on, but thanks to love and care, I’m thriving. I enjoy sunbathing, making new friends, and reminding everyone that challenges can’t dim your shine. Hi, I’m Penelope! I’m an older gal who came to Sunshine Pastures from a loving home that just couldn’t keep me anymore. Now, I get to spend my golden years soaking up sunshine, enjoying soft belly rubs, and taking long, peaceful naps. I may move a little slower these days, but my heart is full and happy. Life here is calm, kind, and just the way I like it—and I’m so grateful to have a forever place to simply be loved.

Hi there, I’m Chanticleer — the resident rooster, guardian of the flock, and proud voice of every sunrise at Sunshine Pastures! I take my job seriously, keeping an eye on my feathered friends and strutting with purpose. Whether I’m greeting the morning or leading a chicken parade, I bring confidence, charm, and just the right amount of sass. Life here is good, and I’m happy to call this place home.
