Now, I get to spend my golden years soaking up sunshine, enjoying soft belly rubs, and taking long, peaceful naps. I may move a little slower these days, but my heart is full and happy. Life here is calm, kind, and just the way I like it—and I’m so grateful to have a forever place to simply be loved.
Hi there, I’m Kathy! I was born in the wild and spent the early part of my life learning to survive on my own. I eventually found my way to a rescue nearby, and now I call Sunshine Pastures home. When I first arrived, I was shy and unsure—but I’ve come a long way! These days, I’m full of personality and not afraid to show it. I keep a watchful eye on everyone here and make sure to chase off any unwanted visitors. I may be gentle, but I’m also a fierce protector of my friends.

They made sure I was well cared for, and now I’m living my best life here at the sanctuary. I’m a big guy with an even bigger personality! I love attention and sometimes sneak out just to peck on the bedroom window and wake everyone up. It’s my special way of saying, “Good morning!”

Life threw me a curveball early on, but thanks to love and care, I’m thriving. I enjoy sunbathing, making new friends, and reminding everyone that challenges can’t dim your shine.
